Originally released in 1976 on the Orbitone label, Omo Lewa exemplifies Peter King’s experimental approach to Highlife (his musical roots). Here he incorporated elements from Afro-Beat, Afro-Jazz, Afro-Funk, Funky-Highlife and Afro-Reggae, as exemplified by 'Ajo', the heaviest track on the album.
